Pip's Lemonade Stand

The business

Pip sells lemonade on the corner for part of each summer. A few cups a day, a handful of simple costs, a stand that wears out, and money borrowed from Mom. Three years of history and three years to forecast.

Instructions
What you're building, the rules, how it is marked, terms of use, disclaimer.
Test
The sheet you work on. Shaded cells are yours to type in, blue cells are given and locked, gray cells are given and live. 105 cells are scored.
Score
Your overall percentage plus a breakdown by section, so you can see which part of the model let you down.

You build the model blind, then read your score on the Score tab: an overall percentage out of 105 scored cells, broken down by section so you can see which part of the model let you down. Values are compared, not formulas, so any construction that lands on the right number scores and a blank cell scores zero. The Score tab works in any version of Excel.

What the sample holds back

The model is complete and it scores itself — nothing is crippled to make a point. Three things are kept for the paid scenarios:

  • The worked model, with every formula live
  • The in-sheet green and red marking, which is locked off in the sample
  • Cell-by-cell marking — the sample scores by section instead

The free sample is yours to pass on — share it with anyone you like. The paid workbooks are licensed to one named individual and are not transferable.
