A gold producer with a copper by-product across three mines. Tonnes mined, tonnes milled, grade, recovery and refining deductions all sit between the pit and the metal sold, and a rising strip ratio pushes cost up with no change in production at all.

A toggle at the top of the Test tab stays on N while you build, so you are working blind. Flip it to Y and every cell you filled turns green or red in place — no separate answer key. Values are compared, not formulas, so any construction that lands on the right number scores. The in-sheet coloring needs Excel 2010 or later; the Scoring tab works in any version.
